Our Story

Owner and CEO, Alicia Edsen, has always had a passion for entertaining and ensuring every detail is thoughtfully planned.  As a graduate of Hill City High School, Alicia spent much of her childhood in the Black Hills and always envisioned a perfectly positioned venue, where groups could get together and enjoy the beautiful Three Forks area. Establishing the Diamond Spur Events Center has made that dream come true. 

Alicia, her husband - Andy, son - David, daughter - Chloe, and twins - Ashton & Jules, love spending time in the hills with their extended family and friends.  Her parents own the Double Diamond Ranch across the creek and she loves hearing about the fantastic experiences their guests have throughout the year. 

Alicia serendipitously met her Venue Director, Maja, who was married at the Double Diamond Ranch in 2020.

Our mission is to create, build, and foster relationships between the Diamond Spur Events Center, industry vendors, and clients. We are committed to providing community members and couples with premium experiences for their celebrations.

    Growing up watching her parents extend their gracious hospitality to vacationing families, it’s not hard to see how Alicia developed a passion for entertaining. The Diamond Spur Event Center is her way of inviting visitors and community members in. When Alicia heard about the need for a larger venue in the area, she knew it was time to bring her dream to life. Her goal is to provide a unique space and experiences that will last a lifetime.

  • Maja Cromwell Marsh Diamond Spur Events Center

    Venue Director - Maja Marsh

    Maja has worked in the event and hospitality industry for over 20 years. She believes, there is something magical in the way the combination of hospitality, beauty, and entertainment can lift people’s spirits. She is delighted to begin working with couples and clients at the Diamond Spur Events Center. Providing luxury service while celebrating life, love and the beauty of the Black Hills.

  • Operations Manager - Ken Raba

    Ken is an accomplished Operations Manager and highly skilled musician. He hails from the vast ranches of South Dakota but has performed and worked at renowned venues all across the United States. He has forged an impressive career path that combines his passion for ranching, music, and events. The demanding nature of these industries has given him invaluable insight which he has brought to the DSE Team and our clients.
